  • :12 ratard eyes!! ahhh

  • ADHD symptoms reflect various causes. The symptoms are found with various fetal drug syndromes, minor head injuries, poorly controlled seizure disorders. At the beginning of '11 an article in the Lancet, a major British medical journal, found the symptoms disappeared with diet changes among many children. Dr. Barkley does not make any of these distinctions so we really cannot tell who or what he is talking about.

This area can serve as a poster child for poor research design.

  • Basic research shows that prescription stimulants cause brain damage. For a review of some of this research go to Grace Jackson, M.D., Drug Induced Dementia; Dr. Jackson is a psychiatrist.

Dr. Barkeley's research compares children without ADHD symptoms with children with ADHD symptoms regardless of their prescriptions; most of the ADHD children were or had been on stimulant medications at the time of the study. We cannot know whether the observations are due to ADHD or to mediation use.

  • @threadysparrow They do hence the new versions over time.

  • @IamEyalMarcosLevit Yes, there is likely a high percentage of those with this disorder in prison or on probation/parole.

  • All those adults you're missing in your studies are probably in jail...

  • dr barley is a very good drugs salesman

  • I thought he said he was going to talk about Sluggish Cognitive Tempo?
