@nmister3000 yeah but you see that more with left-handed people, since there is more of a lack of true left-handed instruments. Albert King, Dick Dale, and Bob Geldof all play that way. Very rarely have I seen that with a right-handed person, because I just assumed it wasn't necessary to play in that fashion. I play left handed the right-side up way, so I could play your guitar.
I was trying to play one a couple of weeks ago and I just forgot that since I am left handed I probably should have told the guy trying to teach me that tidbit of info maybe it would have worked better.
@nmister3000 Wow. That's very rare, since there is an abundance of right-handed instruments over left-handed ones there's really no reason to learn that way, unless the only guitar in your household while you're learning is a left-handed one.
It's actually good to know how to play the strings in either direction, because if you go to someone's house that has all left-handed guitars and you didn't bring one of yours, you can still jam!
Now you know how all lefties feel when we go to guitar center!
