2-53T Detroit Diesel conversion very nicely done by "supercharged65"
(Truck doesn't have this engine in it any more, and I probably don't have answers to your questions about it)

  • @Jthumper

    I'm absolutely sure it's a 2-53 with a turbo, not a 2-71

  • nothing like a for with gm power!!

  • put that in a go kart .

  • @lumberjak5010 : Was this after the log cracked your skull? everyone knows your story isn't possible. Now dream up another bs story .

  • Oh yeah...I bought an 8V92 turbo to put in my F350.....I set it for 475 horse... sounds like pure sex....really have to watch the rpms or I'll take out the tcase or something

  • I've got an old Lincoln SAE 300 amp welder with a 2-53 in it. runs like new and makes some great power.....nothing like DC @ 300 amps to burn some rod up...nice job. Might be a little slow but probably torqey as hell.

  • 2-53 for a vehicle??? HAHA! Probably an old refrigeration engine off a reefer car from Pacific Fruit Express. They've gone to package units and there are ton of these things out there for dirt cheap.

  • @Jthumper Too small for a 71

  • Pulling up next to you I would have thought you have a Rod knocking

  • I was thinking of putting a cummins in my 70 ford f250 I had the idea of perhaps a 4BT or something

  • Very VERY cool!! I've been thinking about tossing a 453 into a 72 3/4 ton that I can pick up pretty cheap.
