Carlton stopped showing Prisoner at episode 598 back in Autumn 1998, so we didn't see this scene edited, although people on the Prisoner sites have said that some ITV regions would edit out scenes like hangings, I think in case it scared or inlfluenced anybody. I remember when Channel Five caught up with episode 598 and then 599, 600 right to 692. The hanging scene didn't seem to scare me. Thankfully the Aussie DVDs have this scene added as will the UK DVDs when they catch up soon.
