I didn't realise you could do that. Is it in the options menu? I'm playing on PS3. And if you watch more than 40 seconds you'll notice I did do 1st person...

Interesting new way to do time lapse -- I had no idea you could do a game-based virtual time lapse. How many frames did you have to capture?

All I did to create the time lapse effect was to simply record each scene for about 60-90 minutes and speed it up to last around 30-40 seconds each. So, it's not exactly the same as doing a time lapse with an SLR. It's not a new idea; if you search it you'll find a fair few game time lapse videos, but I just thought I'd give it a go myself. Thanks for your thoughts.

very nice video. Only the flag at 0:37 is a bit annoying. I like how the minimap is also going quickly.

Thanks.
Yeah, the flag was annoying, but it took me 15 mins to infiltrate the castle and get to the very top, and the view was nice, so why waste it?
Also, notice the guys at 1:30 who fight through that entire scene, which took 90 mins to record, while hundreds of people walk past.
