The Chuckwagon Gang singing At Sundown. Shown on the Phipps Gospel TV show Saturday nights.Andrew Phipps has a weekly television show on http://www.whmbtv.com/ Every Saturday night 8pm - 9pm
I agree with you "militarychief", but only in part. The alto singer in this video is my older sister, Shaye. Our grandmother was Anna Carter, one of the original singers and daughter of D.P. Carter, founder of the Gang. Perhaps you'll listen more closely to the alto and you'll hear my grandmother's voice in Shaye's. Trust me, it's there...
I could not agree with you more! Over the past 25 years or so, there have been several versions of the Chuck Wagon Gang, and "some" of them have done a good job keeping the name alive. But there will NEVER be a group that can match or duplicate the sound of the original gang; they just don't have that same magic. I agree about Anna, she was great! I had the pleasure of singing with her one time, and I will cherish that memory for as long as I live.
Not a one of them can compare to Sister Rose and Anna. Anna was one of the best alto's I've ever heard. This group is keeping the Chuck Wagon tradition alive. They're good though.

Shaye looks like Anna too. I commented on two other videos. The more I listen the more I like this group.
