@MLB123123 In America, you generally use the 's' spelling, offense. In Britain, the variant/alternate spelling would have a 'c'.
I put offense [spelled incorrectly by LadyWorthingtonJones] ("offence") in quotations to exemplify the correct spelling as OFFENSE, later obviously placed in the sentence.
But hey, I suppose we were are all wrong, for the reason that you could REALLY put it either way. It doesn't really matter that much. Just get over it.
