I believe you that its one of your fav movies but if you watch the credits roll after the first kickboxer film when it shows Tong po it says as himself, where as eric sloan has dennis alexio, kurt slaon has Jean claude van damme, xian has dennis chan.

so its hard to comprehend that they are the same and one person especially their tone of vopices are different, their fights are choreaographed by different people, for instance in kickboxer 2 benny the jet choreographs

@thegreekboy4800 Qissi and JCVD grew up studying martial arts together since they were 8 years old. They both made their first appearince in Breakin' as extras and their first big time film was "Bloodsport". Then, they both went on to do Kickboxer. Tong Po is an alias that Qissi went by, he has many aliases. I've been a fan of Qissi since I was a kid and watched all of his crap, I even own Extreme Force on DVD which is an example of how big a Qissi fan I am.

no they are completely different people, for starters th first movie shows the fighter is taller, this guys slower, shorter and if anyone bothers to check different names.

This guys name is Miqel Qisi, the other guy played himself which means his real name was tong po.

@thegreekboy4800 This is my 2nd favourite movie of all-time, I know what I'm talking about. Check out Qissi's IMDb profile, he also played Tong Po in the first. Tong Po nickname or stage name he took for the original, Michael Qissi is still the same guy that played him in the first movie but he beefed up a little more in Kickboxer 2.

@1987rolex1 Yeah the first Kickboxer was far superior. In this particular fight scene, there's a point at which if you pause it...you can see that a fake leg is on a stick with somebody just outside of the shot pushing it lol. Seriously mate, I'm not kidding.

It was a side ways thrust kick supposed to be from from Sloan

Why are the fighters in movies like this always so bad... ? And why are the fighting scenes so bad ? Can it really be that hard to do a fighting film with good and realistic fights?
