Walking in Shanghai

Walking around in Shanghai, China was a real head trip. Not what I expected at all. Huge. Bright lights. International. Modern. Crowded. Noisy. Yet one block away are quiet old traditional neighbourhoods where people work in tiny stalls and live in hovels by any standard.

this is where the real people live? I mean come on, there are places like this in both new york and las vegas, both of which i've been to. new york got lots of people living in poverty. even with manhattan. so what the fuck are you trying to prove here? chinese must all be living in poverty? you should walk into one of their appartments i am sure you will be more surprised
