Although I don't like our recent entries, this is absolutely one of our best. Very underrated if you ask me, probably the best song from 1990! How this managed to get only a 15th place is beyond me. The melody has something haunting, and the lyrics are just as beautiful. The performance is stylish and classic, and the leadsinger sings the song very convincingly. Anyway, it should have done much better. Such a shame Europe didn't recognize the quality of this song, which is still awesome in 2011!

Ésta fue la mejor canción de 1990 y una de las mejores de la historia del ESC (para mí es la mejor). Lástima que ni el sonido ni el arreglo orquestal dieran brillo a la canción, aunque aquel 15º lugar fue un insulto. Sí, aquél fue un gran festival con grandes canciones, pero ésta (magníficamente compuesta e interpretada por "Maywood") es una auténtica joya. This was the best song of 1990 and one of the best in the history of the ESC (for me, the best). 15th place astonishingly unfair.

valballad. Niks ten nadele van Maywood, ze hebben mooie nummers gemaakt, en dit was dat jaar inderdaad het beste nummer op het Nationaal Songfestival, maar het is géén winaar en zéker niet origineel. -

This is such a beautiful song and beautifully sang. This should have done so much better in the contest.
