  • Don't forget that "New Year's Resolutions" are just one example of completely fabricated constraints on goals. Why one year? Is that how long it will really take to accomplish a particular task? Set yourself some realistic goals and then figure out how much effort and time is really involved in accomplishing these. Set your targets accordingly.

Best of luck to you and yours. Does your lesser half have a YT channel?

  • My hubby does not YT. He just watches the few that I send him. He reads more than I do (at least 15 business, technology and world politics magazines a month).

  • You really don't need to lose weight.

  • That was last year, and yes I did. I have back problems and the 25 pounds I was carrying around was putting to much pressure on my back and knees.

  • Good to hear you've accomplished what you wanted! Very cool!

My new year resolution is to stop making resolutions, that way I'm sure to succeed!

    Happy New Year!

  • Ok, but what is the window on that. Meaning, how will you know when you have succeeded? Is January the deadline? I need to know so I can schedule my congratulations. I don't want to give them to soon, just to find out you had fallen off the wagon and made a resolution after all. It's hard to be strong, I know but I think you are going to need to set some limits. ;-)

  • Hi Bonnie,

Here we are in 2009! I am interested to know now, a year later, if you came to any conclusions on this topic of focusing on a few resolutions?

Personally I have to prioritize everything each year and I look at what are the most important things and I look to those goals in every situation. That is most effective for me. Miss you on youtube! Hope all is well.

  • I'm in love with that woman!!!she is so beautifull,nice smile ect....But 'I'm from Belgium,so that's a little to far i guess ;))

    Greetz lovely lady !!!!

  • Less is more, no doubt about it. Huge lists never helped me. Small ones with only the top priority stuff ever seems to work here.

Congrats on reaching your other goals!

And it's nice to see you back on cam.

  • I sorta agree with that- I try to focus on a couple of things I want to accomplish in the near future or find out what it is that one thing I really do need. If I make a list of things I resolve to do or not do I tend to become intimidated or disregard it.

  • She posted that her back was in pain and that the excess weight she carried was contributing to that pain.

  • Which one?

  • Any more than the "core" few are...

merely tributaries and/or escape clauses ;-)

  • I think making a long list of resolutions is ignoring the fact that one or two should be the real priority. You still can be aware of, and cope with, daily situations while attending to those priorities.

My resolution for 2007 was to make the most of circumstances placed on me in the prior year. They still exist and may, in fact, figure in my resolutions for the next couple of years. 2007 was successful, to a degree. Here's to 2008.
