here's the thing with christmas: many non-religious people celebrate it secularly. however, christians still celebrate it because of jesus' birth. since you don't participate in christmas, you wouldn't know how christians across the world celebrate and rejoice during this time for religious reasons.

So when Jesus peace be up on him was born was it spring time or winter?why people have to borrow to money to buy gifts? and why help the poor and needy only once a year not all year round??why is the color of Christmas is red and green?? please let me know

reply to achekzai: The exact date of Jesus' birth is unknown, but it's is celebrated on Dec 25. People donate money all year round to charity! There are thousands of charities around the US etc w/ big donators, but some people donate more around this time of the year. I know that zakat is part of your religion.I live in a Muslim country and I've also noticed that especially during Ramadan or Eid people will give more money and be reminded about helping the needy.
green=life, red=jesus

Thanks dear for clearing it to me.But i still want to know if giving gift to family members or friends are also important to the extant that people have to borrow money to buy gifts?? or is it just a cultural event?? and why the color red = Jesus be peace up on him??
