This place did have screens to stop this but they were taken out in the last shop refit, not smart if you know the history of the place. This store held the world record for shortest time between hold ups. If the police were not all out sitting at roadworks they might catch someone.

Oh and to those who think they would have done something different. Just picture it. You're working alone and it's quite at 3am in the morning. There is no one else around. A guy casually walks in and threatens to assualt you if you don't hand over the money. You don't know if he has a knife in his shorts behind his back and you don't know if he has buddies waiting in the dark outside that he could let in even if you lock the automatic door.

I know a couple of the guys who work there. I have been told that the owner refuses to spend the money to put in security screens around the front counter. It's wide open. The 7/11 100m down the road has security wire fense around the front counter as well as the caltex in the other direction at Booval.
Maybe management should work the grave yard shift and see how safe they feel.

Demanding money with menaces (threats) is an offence. He may have said he had a weapon so that's enough to get him on. On the offender himself - what a scabby dog asking for the change as well!!!!

I just wish I was the teller at the time.

scum bag, but ummm where was the weapon that the attendant would have felt threatened with??? I would have told the scab to rack off and bluffed him back... its pretty clear footage I'm sure he'll be apprehended soon. (hopefully)
