Moon flowers opening

These flowers are amazing. They call them moon flowers because they bloom at night. They actually open up late in the afternoon before dark and bloom all night. They die the next morning when it gets light and more open up the next afteroon. If it is cloudy and looks dark earlier they will open up early. They also have the best smell. They smell like a powder and perfume mixed and it is wonderful to smell. It is fun to watch them open. Sometimes you think one will open any minute and you wait and wait and wait and it does not open and you look away for a few seconds and look back and it is already open. Sometimes I think they have eyes and know when you are watching them.

Nice! I usually barely catch them opening, let alone have enough time to get armed with a camera. Morning glories and moon flowers are the only things I grow in my garden anymore. I have blooms all day and night. LOVE IT!
