THERE ONCE WAS A TIME through LINDA LAFLAMME.
This is the third in a series of 1977 recordings by LINDA LAFLAMME, Original member and keyboardist of the 60s super group. ITS A BEAUTIFUL DAY and co-writer of the timeless hit... WHITE BIRD.
Howard Capp aka Captain Kazoo acted as Linda La Flamme's Personal Manager, Producer and Band Manager of "A THOUGHT IN PASSING" ( THE BAND ON THIS RECORDING) from the late 60's thru the EARLY 80's.

Boy, it's really a shame she never put out a solo album in the wake of her exit from It's A Beautiful Day. I can offer no explanation for the success of the first album other than her presence.
Sounds like she listened to Vince Guaraldi and had classical influences as well. She could have done "New Age" albums easily.

I loved it, and it reminded me of how very talented Linda LaFlamme was and still is! A timless delight

My god, take me back to Fantasy studios, Howard.
She sang so well, loved the simplicity of the arrangement. Like that part where she double-tracks "dead" in a minor-second. Like the high flute against the low power of the bass and left hand of the piano. The exit coda with the guitar strums and her stacked la-la vocal at the fade. Thanks for putting this up. I still owe you a copy of my CD.
