  • @pokemontrainer487 - Hmmm.....with an attitude like that I wonder whether you are cut out to learn anything.

  • I've been smoking for more than 15 years. Can I learn to play the harmonica?

  • @blaab1 - There is no reason that you can't. Many harmoncists smoke. Grab a harp and enjoy yourself.

  • Hello

My name is Anthony.I Pllaying saxophone for 3 years.I want to play harmonica too but its dificult for me to play single notes. Is there any way to make it easyer??

    Best Wishes

    Anthony

  • @astoksesu - These are a couple of things to try. You could put the harp deep enough into your mouth to play a chord (3 holes) and start pulling the harp away from your mouth until only the middle hole sounds. You could also try tongue blocking where the harp is into your mouth deep enough to play a chord and you block the 2 or 3 holes to the left of the hole you want to sound. There really isn't a quick and easy method as everybody is different. Like anything it gets easier with practice.

  • For those people criticising this guy for his methods of keeping rhythm, It may be simple but keeping time with other people in a band is one of the more difficult aspects of playing an instrument, even basic instrument players can go quite far if they're good at keeping a steady rhythm and can keep in time.

  • Thank you so much, i've been playing the guitar for some years and i am fine tuning my blues playing but i always wanted to use my harmonica(that just sits on a shelf) to play along with and now i found a great starting point. Much appreciated from california!

  • I got my harmonica. Its a platic diatonic ten holes key of C, and I'm doubting to learn with this thing...but I want to learn...

  • i have got a D harmonica brand new is this good ? I can exchange for a C at the music shop if C is more recomended for learning, any advice would be greatly apreciated

  • As simple and ridiculous as this seems it actually helped me so much I'm actually really impressed, thanks!

  • Playing The Harmonica is actually good for your lungs and helps heal Azma , more oxygen to the Brain and Blood helps detox the lungs and body , but remember that playing for a half hour or an hour or more you loose water through the mouth and lungs and you can become dehydrated and get headaches, So Drink Lot's of water during your practicing or Show..Peace Keep On Harpin" Canada.

  • @TheReedBender Great, I'll buy one next week :)
