Rhythmic Gymnastics: Breaking the Stereotype

I've decided to make a video that will hopefully change the minds of people who mock rhythmic gymnastics and say it isn't a sport.

What I've done is I've taken parts of the Lizzie Mcguire episode about RG and added in what rhythmic gymnastics should look like...DON'T LISTEN TO WHAT THE LIZZIE MCGUIRE EPISODE SAYS ABOUT THIS SPORT!!!!!!!!

Music : Alina Kabaeva's hoop 2000 music (for the lizzie routine part), and Britney Spears' "Toxic" (cut version)

*I do not own any of the Lizzie Mcguire parts, they belong to Disney.*

obviously if you compare a lizzie mcguire middle school rhythmic gynastics routine from disney channel where the girl only just started the sport to olympic level clips of girls who have trained their whole life for it, lizzie is going to pale in comparison.

I find it hilarious when she is simply twirling the ribbon and everyone looks so astonished by it. Imagine if they saw a REAL RG routine. They would probably pee themselves or run away in fear screaming "IT'S TOO MUCH!"

Lizzie are you kidding...? ive done both rhythmic and artistic gymnastics since i could walk and it is nothing like that. the way they portray rhythmic gymnastics is completely untrue and degrading. it is nothing like that! it takes extreme strength, flexibility and power. i could have done beater than Lizzie when i was 5! good job showing what REAL rhythmic gymnastics is!

Well, with the hoop, I suppose since she's a middle school amatuer, she's not horrible. But Rhythmis gymnasts who've practiced thier whole lives are more graceful and much more talented.

Then again, Hillary Duff was never a gymnast, unless I'm mistaken.

First of all, try doing a spiral or snake with your ribbon. Yeah, I didn't think so. Second of all, I'm not asking her to do as well as the other people in the video but she could at least point her toes.Third of all, if she's in third level wich is all she can be in with these elements, third level doesn't have hoop and ribbon. Fourth of all, wouldn't she get a deduction switching equipment? Fifth of all, I don't like her leotard.

even her ribbon isn't 6 meters of large it needs neither the 5 meters for juniors gymnasts
