When I was living in North Hollywood a few years ago Bob Jimenez hosted a news program on what was then Adelphia Cable. He also taught at USC, don't know if he still does. I think Evan White retired.
The Current KGO annoucer doing the KRON open is here. What Happen to Bob Jimenez and Evan White. We all know that Mark Thompson is the Voiceover of Fox
The good old days of KRON-TV. When NBC really ruled the Bay Area. The 1980's was a whole great time when KRON really had Jeopardy!, Wheel of Fortune and Entertainment Tonight (From 1988-1992) moved to KGO before coming back to KRON in February 1992 swapping J! and WoF when it had it's early prime experiment. A practice that then ABC, now CBS affiliate KOVR in neighboring Sacramento does to this day.
The jingle for the KRON station ID sounded a lot similar to the Viacom's "V of Doom" theme without hitting the last note.
