i really apologise for the previous comments. I was watching it with another dancer friend of mine, unfortunately she sent a stupid comment on it without my knowlege . We all critisise and laugh sometimes on many a things in the dance world but in my heart i think personaly and know that many non indian dancers are far more dedicated to our art form and it shows in this video clip.

I don't agree with you, there is also indian that are not so graceful and there is also good foreign dancers. With a good work they certainly can improve.

The background music is really distracting, especially when they are making music in the video!

Good one ! I suggest you link this to DynamycDesi - they are a good platform to help you to promote globally
Do you have to be enrolled in the school in California to go?

No, I found the school in India and was welcomed as a beginner. :)

I would never perform Odissi as I am just a novice at best. However I have seen many non-Indian dancers dedicate their life to this dance and do it justice. Every one is entitled to their opinion, however.

I studied with Guru Padma Cheren Dehury who was very sweet as well as talented. He and his nephew Suroj teach at Jyoti Kala Mandir School of Classical Indian Arts, which has a branch in Berkeley, CA as well.
