Born Alberto Vargas he shortened his name to Varga
for his work in Esquire and his women became known
as the Varga Girl. When Vargas had a falling out with
Esquire in the late 1940's he lost ownership of the
name Varga and could no longer sign his art Varga.
All of this art was done as Varga!
