Les membres d'Arma Temporis, Simon Defachelle et rémi Fonteix organisent quotidiennement des entraînements au combat médiéval. Ainsi que des séances d'expérimentation avec et sans armures, épées, haches, masses lances fauchard, fléau, dagues et bien d'autres armes.

Mais c'est vrai que ce n'est pas très pratiqué, donc c'est très bien d'en voir chez Arma Temporis !

For our shields! (They are not made in an archaeological way, but they are ideals for training)
It is very simple! We used a curtain rod with mural fixings, which we screwed on a plywood board (dimensions ideals // height: knees/chin, and width of shoulders), then we nailed a spina (a wood rod for reinforced the length of the shield), finally we made safe the ends of the pole with fabric.

Ce que j’aime également dans cette arme, c’est qu’elle illustre bien la cohérence des logiques corporelles et martiales de peuples qui sans se côtoyés ( germains du moyen age, mayas zoulous …), ont finalement développés des méthodes très semblables.
C’est à la fois logique, mais fascinant !

You guys should search a video where they use a big iron shield which can be hold in both hands as a weapon. It looks very alike.
