  • @william273 I totally agree but please don't metion new york cause the comments will be filled with arguements about whats better -_-

  • @TickleMeElmo55 All right,I`ll make it even easier for you.I remember earlier you were badmouthing Los Angeles. So if you like, we can have a sort of Los Angeles -Chicago face-off here.So here is your opportunity to tell me why you think Chicago is better than LA.I`ll promise to respond to that in a polite manner.Or if you prefer, the face-off can be between Chicago and any city I have mentioned earlier.

  • @TickleMeElmo55 Oh come on, just pick one of the cities I have mentioned, and we will compare them.I `ll add Canadian city of Montreal to the list of North American cities that is in my opinion in general are better than Chicago.

  • @TickleMeElmo55 Chicago`s size in terms of population is not reflective in its cultural expression.Dallas has and embraces its cowboy ,Texas culture roots, the same with San Antonio ,Atlanta has deep Southern culture, but Chicago...what does Midwestern culture even means?Even if it exists it fails miserable in comparison to Southern or Western culture. And no, neither from the Loop or L train ,you can not fully see the skyline of Chicago.

  • To say Chicago is ordinary to European cities is asinine. Newsflash: Chicago is an American city - if you knew any history behind the city you wouldn't be making such ignorant comments.

  • are more "special" than Chicago's core.

  • @hhhrolling

How on earth does Dallas, SA, and Atlanta embrace their regional character more than CHicago? To compare those cities to Chicago is apples to oranges. Only NOLA does that and that city is miniscule to Chicago's size. It's rather easy to enjoy Chicago's skyline - you get on the El and you go to Millenium Park or you walk through The Loop. It seem like you have never spent significant time in Chicago. Since you comment on Chicago's FiDi, name other cities, besides NYC, that

  • @TickleMeElmo55 You really don`t understand what my reference to 3 lanes have to do with it?Its the prefect illustration of the city as whole-unremarkable,provincial,lacking interest ,and excitement.

  • @TickleMeElmo55 Nothing can be further from the truth when you say Chicago is the only American city that embraces its regional culture.Dallas,San Antonio does it on much higher level,New Orleans too,so is Atlanta, any major city does that.Chicago does have a pretty nice skyline but only from somewhere deep in the Lake, and how many residents can enjoy that on a regular basis let me ask?And once you inside Downtown Chicago, it has a feel of nothing special if you compare it to some other cities.
