Monsoor enlisted in the United States Navy in 2001 and graduated from Basic Underwater Demolition/SEAL training in 2004. After further training he was assigned to Delta Platoon, SEAL Team Three.
He encountered the harsh lifestyle of war in
Ramadi, Iraq; however, he did not understand the danger that he and his comrads will encounter throughout their quest to stay alive.
When an ambush was set upon them,
a grenade had been launched onto the rooftop, threatening the lives of the his teammates. Michael Monsoor, reacted by sacrificing his body as protection absorbing the potential destruction and impact of the grenade, saving his friends lives. He was then awarded The Medal of Honor, as the first to be, from a Navy SEAL.

  • here's a few tips i can thing of for you to use for the future. If you want a steadier camera while walking put the camera on a tripod and add some weight to it. Adds stability.

Also, during the shots when the soldiers are on the ground; instead of looking down at them, have the camera on the ground with them. Makes us feel closer to them and adds some tension.

final tIp: try to avoid flat shots. at 3:08 is a good example. His head is completely at profile and it looks unappealing.
