Reflections of Mudai

The latest in my Grasping at Straws series is a collection of b-roll and deleted footage from a short film I made long ago titled "Mudai". Enjoy!

This was edited shortly after completion of Mudai because back then I didn't believe in throwing anything away unused. We got a kick out of it, anyway. Since Fievel is also singing his little heart out for a proper quality version of Mudai to go with the missing 3/4-inch cut of Two, you won't be seeing the actual short film this footage came from.

I know, I know. You guys are like "What! Why this is an outrage! How can you do that to us, your two loyal fans? You cannot deny us what is owed! Harumph, harumph!" and I would respond with the news that I intend to kinda/sorta/not really remake it, hopefully some time in the future. Then perhaps shortly around completion -- which by my speed of production would probably be 12/21/12 -- I'll put it up. I wouldn't bet the proverbial farm on it, though. To which you would counter with "You suck. Why don't you take your Mexican butt with the rest of the Mexicans back to Mexico where you came from, you freakin' Mexican", even though I was born in California, U.S.A.

But you can't ever reason with the mad, so I will indeed go back to the country of my people. Or something.

arghhhhh! every time I watch one of your short films (yes, even the compilation/deleted scenes ones) I think 'feck!' I should be doing this!.

I have nothing but admiration for what you do/have done and for as long as you make short films, I will watch them.

Oh, and suffice to say I really enjoyed this - the music really suited the mood.
