We rode the Santa Special to Geelong last December in the 1st comparment in the 1st carriage behind the T Class, what a beautiful crisp chant and exhaust note, I dont give a stuff what anyone says, the chant of an EMD 2 Stroke engine at any speed takes some beating,

A few months back there was a big yellow machine grinding the tracks every night on this line... were you involved in this operation as well?
