Produced, directed, and edited by David Axelrod, Allison Fisk, and Jeremy Hirsch as part of Tufts' Experimental College's "Producing Films for Social Change" class.

Many slots for resettlement of refugees in the US are not filled because the UN is overwhelmed by the current wars, humanitarian crises, and displacement of people in Africa. Mapendo International works to help the refugees that have fallen through the cracks and are not helped adequately by the U.N. by relocating those in most peril to the United States. Mohammed, a 16 year old boy from Somalia, fled his home after seeing his father murdered and only arrived in the U.S. two months ago; John, Odette, and their children are refugees from the Congo who survived a massacre in Gatumba, a UN refugee camp in Burundi.
