I can't read this poem out loud. I get choked up. I think I'd have to read it out loud 5,000 times alone before I could ever read it to someone else. Just a few simple words unleash an ocean of feeling.

buks not reading this.

damn. Poetry is manly.

It just cuts to the core of who and what we all are regardless of being a man or a woman. There is such a beautiful truth to this poem that it always brings a tear to my eye. I miss Hank's voice so it's nice to hear him read from time to time-so much of what he wrote is true-truer now and I'm glad he was here at all and that he wrote and drank and lived.

Do You???

I only need to listen to this once every couple weeks and I'm satisfied.

Now I am thinking about Florence And The Machine and The Bird Song. Haha.
-
beautiful and to the point.

I'm writing this in tears. Probably that's the same way you are reading this.

Harry Dean Stanton is reading the poem, not Bukowski.
