Stop the World:Chapter 12

Mikayla's POV
I can't believe that just happened. Me and Nick almost kissed. So does this mean he likes me? And what about Miley? Wow, I’m so confused. I called Taylor back. "Hey Taylor" "Hey Mikayla did you get my flowers?" he asked. "Yes, I did. Thanks so much. No one has ever given me flowers before. How did you know I loved white roses?" I said. "You seem like the type of girl that would like them." he said. "And what type of girl am I exactly?" I asked curiously. "The type of girl that cares about everyone around her, and deserves more then she thinks." he said sweetly. Aww. "You got all of that after only knowing me for the past 2 days?" "Yeah, I guess so." he said with a nervous laugh. Then he said "I have a surprise for you. It's on your front porch." "Ok, I'll go see what it is." I walked downstairs still on the phone with him, then I walked outside onto my porch. Thats when I saw him sitting on the swinging chair "Surprise" he said with his smile. I hung up my phone and put it back in my pocket. I sat next to him. ''Well this is a nice surprise." I said with a huge smile. Then from behind his back he took out a really small gift bag. "Open it." he said. I did. It was a silver chain that had a crystal heart pendant. It reminded me of the same crystal heart Edward gave Bella in Eclipse. My jaw dropped. It was beautiful. "It's so beautiful. But why are you giving me this?" I asked. "Well I came here today to ask you something." 'What is that exactly?" I said. "I know that I've only known you for 3 days, but since I've first saw you I knew you were someone special. And when I got to get to know you while spending all day with you yesterday just knew that you were the girl of my dreams.Thats why I kissed you. So I wanted to ask you today if you will do the honor of being my one-and-only girl." he said. I think my jaw dropped again. Was he seriously asking me...ME to be his girlfriend?!?! I had my answer for him. "Yes. Yes I will." I told him and kissed him. I gave him the necklace and said "put it on me" I said as I turned around and help up my hair out of the way. He gently placed the necklace around my neck and fastened it in place. I let my hair down and just laid myself down on him. He put his arms around me. It was a nice moment. I looked up at him, and told him "You know, this necklace reminds me of the crystal heart Edward gives Bella in the third Twilight book Eclipse." He already knew that I was obsessed with the series. "Thats why I got it for you. My younger sister is really into the series too, and she always talk about it, and I remembered that Edward gave a crystal heart to Bella. Since I knew how much you love the series, I thought it was perfect for you." he said. "So are you the Edward to my Bella?" I asked him. "Yes. But you know whats funny? My sister always tells me that I look like how Jacob would look. So her nickname for me is Jacob." He told me while he was slightly blushing. "Thats so cute. But to bad that I'm on Team Edward". I said jokingly, even though it's true I am Team Edward. "Well, I look like Jacob, but act like Edward." he said jokingly. "The best of both worlds." I said then started laughing. He started laughing too. We started kissing. We weren't full on making out, but it was more romantic. He then had to leave while the sun was starting to set 'cause he promised the family to be back before dinner. We decided that he would be taking me to school tomorrow. After he left I went inside and grabbed my camera and went back outside. The sun was setting even more which turned the sky and clouds bright red, orange and yellow. It almost looked like fire. I took a picture. I loved photography; it’s what I wanna do when I'm older. Travel the world and take picture of sunsets, my favorite subjects. Or work as a photographer for musicians since I love music. I went inside and made myself dinner. After it was dark I went up to my room, and climbed out my window so I could sit out on the roof. I was lucky that I had a roof were I could do that. I sat there just staring at the stars.
