its not a third person view when your playing the actual game. The only time you'll get a third person view is when holding a Missle Pod Turret Plasma Cannon. And when your watching a film on of something you recorded on halo 3.

Dude, that's called 2nd or 3rd person. Halo, Halo 2, and Halo 3 are 1st person shooters, which means it is a shooter with a 1st-person view perspective.
