The software for this simple exercise was written in RobotC, soon to be a part of out high school robotics course. The program runs in a loop, first (running straight until the line is encountered, then (b) moving on more motor rotation to gain room for the turn, and then (c) making a 90-degree left turn. It completes the Robo500 circuit by repeating those actions in a loop 4 times. To improve performance, synched motors are used for straight movement, and motor encoder readings govern distance traveled. This exercise is part of the Carnegie Mellon RobotC curriculum.
