  • @ross061189 Tell me about it! I'd give anything to work for BOAC in the 50's and 60's! Back then they weren't teaching us how to throw ourselves out of burning wreckage, they were teaching us how to speak properly, pour wine and serve food! What happened to Class? It wen't out of the window along with elegance, decency, sophistication and common sense!

  • Boac, an airline that takes care of you. Unless you flew in a comet a few years prior

  • an airplane with 4 tail mounted engines? heh, forgive me but I've yet to see something like that since I'm only 2 years new to aviation. But It looks fantastic

  • I love how the opening shot of this ad was basically lifted frame by frame as part of the British Airways "To Fly, To Serve" ad! They must have checked their stuff when they made it.

  • What is the name of the pilot in the backround at 0:40 ??

  • oooohhhh wow, thanks so much for posting this, truely the golden days of British aviation ,the sight and roar of that VC-10 FANTASIC!!!!!!!!!!!! One almost expected somebody like Wilfred-Hyde-White to be on that flight LOL

  • British Overseas Airway corp

  • i know alot about aviation but what does BOAC stand for

  • @koksy Maybe he was expecting a water landing? lol

  • I fondly remember the VC-10 from my childhood plane-spotting days in the 1970s ! I always thought it was a beautiful design, those rear mounted engines and clean wings were pleasing on the eye. It was a noisy aircraft IIRC... TNX for the nostalgic buzz Koksy. Do you remember the IL-62?
