@ross061189 Tell me about it! I'd give anything to work for BOAC in the 50's and 60's! Back then they weren't teaching us how to throw ourselves out of burning wreckage, they were teaching us how to speak properly, pour wine and serve food! What happened to Class? It wen't out of the window along with elegance, decency, sophistication and common sense!

I love how the opening shot of this ad was basically lifted frame by frame as part of the British Airways "To Fly, To Serve" ad! They must have checked their stuff when they made it.

I fondly remember the VC-10 from my childhood plane-spotting days in the 1970s ! I always thought it was a beautiful design, those rear mounted engines and clean wings were pleasing on the eye. It was a noisy aircraft IIRC... TNX for the nostalgic buzz Koksy. Do you remember the IL-62?
