  • Soon Tae Yang studied in Kuk Sool Won for many years and achieved an 8th Dahn in the art. He was a direct student, and friend, of In Hyuk Suh KSN for many years. Due to politics and the WKSA being (as usual) an unsavory orginization that treated it's members poorly, Soon Tae Yang CJN left the WKSA and founded Kung Jung Mu Sul. He changed some of the forms slightly and from my understanding offers the TKD forms as well. Soon Tae Yang CJN is a great martial artist and his orginization is strong!

  • this form looks a little different from what I was taught ... great form

  • @ih8dafuzonyobut That not true your Grandmaster was a master in the WKSA. There is even video of him demonstrating at Kuk Sool tournament on his website.

  • @kjmsaddict19 Dude your Grandmaster study Kuk Sool Won that's why the forms look alike. There is videos of him preforming at Kuk Sool demonstration.

  • Kung Jung Mu Sul is the main derivative of the original martial arts in Korea in my opinion. kuk sool won was the first in America TRUE but not the root of the whole kuk sool won art. if youve ever noticed that kuk sool won's forms are all VERY similar to Kung Jung Mu Sul, i myself have been a loyal black belt in Kung Jung Mu Sul of texas for a while now and must say that even though i wont down other martial arts becasue i have great respect for all of them i believe that Kung Jung Mu Sul is #1

  • Kuk Sool Won, Kung Jung Mu Sul, Kuk Sool Do..whatever the name is..Its Korean Martial Arts and its not the original name or practice. Every time some " Grand Master/ normal human being not a king" learns the art, they may decide to create their own style. This has happened over and over again with different degrees of success. Kuk Sool Won happens to be the most successful in the business of martial arts but they do not own the art itself. Practice no matter the name you are among brothers.

  • this is not a rip of kuk sul won the first ever made was kjms but the first in the u.s. was kuk sul won.

  • @lilpynapple Kung Jung Mu Sul is not an offshoot of Kuk Sul Won, but rather more of a derivative of the Royal Court forms, the Monk forms and tribal forms combined. In other words, Kuk Sul Won and Kung Jung Mu Sul share common ancestry, but the Kung Jung Mu Sul forms are not branching from Kuk Sul Won.

I have trained under Master Soon Tae Yang in Larkspur, and have been awarded a brown belt. His style is very effective, and not rubbish at all.

  • Looks like Guhm Moo Hyung from Kuk Sool Won. Soon Tae Yung has pictures of him in his younger days wearing a Kuk Sool uniform and so did that other master from Hwa Rang Do. Maybe since I took Kuk Sool ,I will come up with an art and call it my own. Rubbish !

  • Is that kid Running Ethan?
