@xoDarcyTheMarexo I would suggest first starting in a slow walk, walk beside a fence as a guide, turn around but keep the horse facing towards the fence, shift your weight and push with your leg in the direction your going, for the best results time sqeezing your leg with the horse's front leg moving forwards. Only try for a few steps at first, but eventually you will be able to trot and stop using the fence as a guide.

I'm training my young horse to do this at the moment.
