How to Draw Clouds in Sumi-e - 雲 -

Clouds is one of difficult for sumi-e to depict. Because sumi-e has no white ink. The most white is the paper color which means draw nothing. So, in sumi-e, shading part is drawn, this is like sculputure process.

Very nice. Interesting to see how you control the ink flow with the water and brush positioning. Reminds me of watercolour painting.

About the video editing: you should avoid cutting/accelerating the parts in which you are actually painting and instead cut the parts where the brush is not on the screen, otherwise it is hard to follow your movements. :)
