This '62 Beetle sat in a field for 20 years after it was driven and parked there. All that done to it was an oil change, flexible fuel hose replaced and fuel filter added, old fuel emptied, tank unblocked and flushed, metal fuel lines unblocked and a new battery. It's still running the original coil, points and plugs.
