Bargnani @ Cavs / Feb 3rd, 2009

just a short one.... AB had a double double with 10 pts / 10 rebs along with 1 blk.

Even though he had a bad shooting night, I couldn't understand why he was benched for the 4th quarter. Reasons:

1. Bargs was drawing fouls
2. at one point in the 3rd quarter, Bargs was basically the only Raptor grabbing rebounds and
3. Raps cut the lead considerably and had a nice stretch with Bargs on the floor

Also, I didnt like seeing Bargs out the in garbage time. He surely didnt deserve to be out there with the other scrubs.

Maybe it was a way to tell him that he will come off the bench again now that JO is in shape again ??

yeah could be he got some rest for the lakers game but than again, I dont understand why he was put back in in garbage time. I know JO and Bosh were playing great but in the 3rd quarter there was a stretch with Bargs and either Bosh/JO where the Raps had cut the Cavs lead to 8 pts. They had a nice flow. Then Bargs was benched and Cavs were up 15 again and game over. thats because I think Bargs was doing a good job on D in the 3rd quarter and was drawing fouls which got big Z into foul trouble.

I don't remember him being "benched" he got some rest which is normal, and JO and Bosh were playing great, what I didn't understand was bringing Bargs back on at sf for the last 6 or so minutes of the quarter. We all saw how badly that can go, just see the first quarter of the same game. as for the comment about trading O'Neal or Bosh, think about what that does to their bench... Voskhul 1st big off the bench? No thanks, and Bosh won't be traded this season, that would be BC basically quitting.

yesterday he was benched coz this evening the raptors will meet the Lakers. I don't understand why colangelo doesn't trade O'Neal or Bosh...
