Just got back from Moto GP races at INDY, and decided to take my Termi cans off and see what the bike sounded like with open pipes. It hurt my ears, super loud, but u cant tell on the video. The mic on my small camera is no good for this. The chatter of the open clutch actually sounds louder than the exhaust at idle but it only sounds like that on here, not in real life.

  • I think I just made up my mind between the monster and the speed triple

  • @JSnyder49428 The speed triple is a great bike, i have friends who own it. But the torque on the monster is unreal, you have to ride it to appreciate it. However see if you can find an 07 S4RS like mine because after that they went to an aircooled engine that lost a ton of power.

  • Sorry, missed the response. I sold the bike.

  • @jim60631 NP Jim :)

  • Do you remember what tank knee pads those are? I like them because they aren't obstrusive. Thanks

  • @jim60631 Havent heard from you, guess you aren't that interested huh?

  • @jim60631 I make them, they are available for purchase if you are interested.

  • @MadMike2288 Hmmm, well there are, but also disadvantages too. Dry clutch robs less horsepower from an engine, all cars with manual gearboxes have a dry clutch. Since it is not immersed in the engine oil like a wet clutch, it also keeps the vital lubrication oil less contaminated with small metal fragments. They can also be swapped out in a few mins for racing applications. Some people hate it but i like the rattling of it. Wet clutches last longer though.

  • Is there an advantage to the dry clutch?

  • @animal100000 I ahve never heard of that happening and if it did it would probably bounce right off the spinning pressure plate. There really isnt much of a place for it to get caught and cause any damage. The worst that would happen is that it would get wedged in between the guard and maybe bend and scratch some stuff....it's cool as hell so ill take my chances :)
