Nope, actually, Sumac passed away in late 08. Loved her voice, and love Cleo's too!

My dad was her roadie when she toured with James Galaway. I didn't get to see her perform live until I was seventeen. She's superb.

Yma Sumak had 5 octave range, she could hit upper F, but that's just a voice phenomenon, is that important? Cleo Laine is a superior impeccable versatile performer. This particular item is a pure gem. I wonder if Sumak is still alive. I knew her as a child in 60's.

I saw her sing this with James Galaway and it was superb. When she was touring here in Seattle in the 70s. My voice teacher suggested I go see her so I bought two tickets and remember this like it was yesterday.
