Sally Matthews has the most beautiful voice I have ever heard and I am no youngster. I have seen and heard her live on several occasions and it really is just unbelievably lush. I also loved Kiri's voice in her hey day but Sally's is a much bigger voice than Kiri's was and also richer. I agree that she is very much understated although every review I have ever read has been glowing. Perhaps this is the way she wants it, being a mother.

Matthews has an incredible voice! She looks good too, and if anything has an understated image, which is just great to my mind. I think she has a similar voice to Kiri's. I hope that at last we have a great soprano for the 21st Century. Sally, you have made my day!

She's my cousin and I love her voice, which is getting better and better. She's brilliant.
