good slow down song. It's to carch your breath before Steve sucked it outta thewhole arena

When I saw the Pie play this live in december 1970 Frampton played the organ and Steve played guitar.
What a band they were. I saw them dozens of times with Peter Frampton and Clem Clempson and they were always great. Steve Marriott was one of the greatest singers I've ever seen. Such a pity he took an early bath.
Rock on.

@bamboosa steve marriott is robert plants hero

Incredible find. Steve's voice carried everthing. Solo.. shoot... he'd be doing it now if he could.... saw him 3 X, but have marveled at the Fillmore LIVE voice, and this is raw and anything else available, until today. thanks for a favorite friend

That must be Marriott on guitar (def not Peter) so Frampton would be on keys.I like both solos the live and original.A solo doesn't have to be fast or flashy if it captures the essence of the song.I wouldn't change a note. Thanks for the rare live version and photos.

I wonder what Steve and Percy (Plant) think of one another - also, the solo is fine - simple and to the point.

Do you mean Life and Times of Steve Marriott? If not, do tell more about this video?

yep merouda, I meant Life and Times of Steve Marriott (how many Majik Mijets went to Humble Pie??? ) although it would be great if there was another documentary about him. :)

Hi. Thanks for uploading this gem. Not long after the album "Humble Pie" was released John Peel ran a series of the world's worst guitar solos on his radio show and right at the top was the solo from Live with Me. He attributed it to Marriott. I've been a fan of all things Marriott for over 40 years but sadly I have to agree with Peelie. By the way what's the source of this clip. I'm desperate to get hold of it now!
