Humble Pie -Live_With_Me- Live 1970

well if someone knows for sure who's playing the organ and who's playing the guitar, please let me know.
_ Steve Marriott, Peter Frampton, Greg Ridley, Jerry Shirley _

In the midst of all my sorrow
The one I love has left my side
And for me there's no tomorrow
No time for laughing
If I could, I would have tried

Live with me, yeah
Baby, will you live with me
Yeah, live with me, ooh
Baby, won't you live with me
Live with me, yeah
I really, really need you
Live with me, live with me
Live with me, yeah

No more

I didn't really do you wrong
When I lied, no
I didn't really say those words
To make you wanna go
So come back, baby, to my side
A love like yours, baby
I can't hide

So won't you live with me, oh yeah
Oh, yeah
Won't you live with me
Live with me baby
Live with me, yeah, yeah
Live with me yeah
Live, won't you live with me
Live with me...
Well, you know you must
You must, oh oh
No more

You know sometimes
You make me feel so mad
Sometimes, you make me feel so sad
Oh, oh, do you wanna be tied
All I wanna know
Do you wanna be my bride

Oh, won't you live with me, yeah
Ooh, ooh, yeah, ooh
Oh, won't you live with me, yeah
Oh, won't you live with me, oh mama
Oh, won't you live with me, oh yeah
Won't you live with me, oh lord
Well, you know you
You're still my baby
You're still my baby
Oh, oh
Oh, oh
Oh, oh

  • :O Where did you find all the pictures? Ive been trying to find some great Humble Pie pics and google isnt helping :/

  • Hi cokeydear

some of them are from the video The Life and Times of Magic Midget ;-)

If you want I can send you those screencaps.

  • Do you mean Life and Times of Steve Marriott? If not, do tell more about this video?

  • yep merouda, I meant Life and Times of Steve Marriott (how many Majik Mijets went to Humble Pie??? ) although it would be great if there was another documentary about him. :)

  • Hi. Thanks for uploading this gem. Not long after the album "Humble Pie" was released John Peel ran a series of the world's worst guitar solos on his radio show and right at the top was the solo from Live with Me. He attributed it to Marriott. I've been a fan of all things Marriott for over 40 years but sadly I have to agree with Peelie. By the way what's the source of this clip. I'm desperate to get hold of it now!

  • aww......poor Marriott and his guitar solo ;)

    thanks for the info andy7385

This song is taken from the bootleg

    "On Stage"

    September 9, 1970

    A studio in London

    BBC Peel's Sunday Show

btw I love this song even if it contains one of the worst solos ever ;)

    I send you a PM

see all

  • good slow down song. It's to carch your breath before Steve sucked it outta thewhole arena

  • When I saw the Pie play this live in december 1970 Frampton played the organ and Steve played guitar.

What a band they were. I saw them dozens of times with Peter Frampton and Clem Clempson and they were always great. Steve Marriott was one of the greatest singers I've ever seen. Such a pity he took an early bath.

    Rock on.

  • @bamboosa steve marriott is robert plants hero

  • Incredible find. Steve's voice carried everthing. Solo.. shoot... he'd be doing it now if he could.... saw him 3 X, but have marveled at the Fillmore LIVE voice, and this is raw and anything else available, until today. thanks for a favorite friend

  • That must be Marriott on guitar (def not Peter) so Frampton would be on keys.I like both solos the live and original.A solo doesn't have to be fast or flashy if it captures the essence of the song.I wouldn't change a note. Thanks for the rare live version and photos.

  • How cool s THIS! A LIVE version! Thanks so much!!!!

  • I wonder what Steve and Percy (Plant) think of one another - also, the solo is fine - simple and to the point.

  • ACE!!!
