Roxy Music is better. Bryan Ferry leading/singing for Gong is quite communist. I was happy when the revolution of Gong's non-glam players told him go back to Roxy or die. That was in 1975.

Live Gong is the best. The albums don't do much for me. It's much edgier live. Bill Bruford played with them briefly starting in 1974. There is a concert from Chateau Neuf in Norway that is brilliant.

This was my favourite album about 15/16 - it was my way into jazz, funnily enough! It still sounds fabulous...great video btw!
are all comments suspended pending approval or is it just with me?

In which album can I find this song? I bought Flying teapot part 1 and I saw in concert in Rome. I am falling in love with this band :D

The song is originally from angels egg. But this is a live version, off of an album called "Live Etc"

Ahhhh bliss - live Gong. I first saw them in 1974 and only recently saw steve hillage and System 7 in Glasgow. Gong's album 'You' is definitely the best (1974) but follow Steve Hillage's career and listen to 'Green' and then the techno stuff of System 7 and the mellow Mirror System. But there is so much brilliant trance / techno today. Check out Entheogenic and Shpongle if you haven't already. Ahhhh - back to the glissando riffs.

Your lucky. I'm 18 and live in the US, so I have not had the chance to go to any of their concerts, but if they have another unconvention than I'm definitely going. I like System Seven, but I like Steve's older stuff like Green much more. Also, I'm very picky when it comes to trance, it can be very generic, but I love Entheogenic and Shpongle, in fact, I'm listening to Shpongle right now.
