Lake Superior "Houghton Breakers" MV Clelia II

Lake Superior North Portage Entry Park, Houghton Breakers; We went for a bike ride from Michigan Tech to the "Houghton breakers" at the end of the Canal Road, we saw the Great Lakes cruise ship MV Clelia II on the way to Thunder Bay Ontario Canada; Edited 2011: The Clelia II is now the Orion II and is based in Australia.

Alas maybe not on the Great Lakes anyone, they say 2010 was the last year, was sold ot Austrlailians for Antarcrtic trips

I saw the ship when it reached S America after its accident in the Antarctic and I don't think it is suitable for the violent weather found in the Drake Passage. The windows will just be smashed in again. Traditional square rigged sailing ships cope well with the conditions. It's no picnic down there.
