@stankology Pat Metheny? Is great, with Richard Bona he's broken ground (watch?v=tSONbye6n98&feature=fvst), but JM is way out there for skill and musical brilliance. Check out his latest collection 'To the One'. Mindblowing. Totally differenct from Pat, and different from so much of his other work. JM is one of the world's most versatile and best musicians.

Ouch. I'm sorry. But the cellist is not in tune at the end of the solo. Listen closely. And, yeah, Stank. Chick is great in every sense, and McLaughlin here has that trademark Metheny tone, but with a slight bit more distortion. Still very tight and trippy and worthy of the Grammy.

They all played like monsters at the Rose Theater, Lincoln Jazz Center in NYC yesterday but i gotta give the major props to Brian Blade. He really drives that group. He plays out of his mind. JM and CC were masterful but Kenny and the rest of the supporting class played with more heart. Amazing show, most amazing compositions by JM and CC. Burning improvising with unlimited amounts of energy throughout.

Saw them at Sydney Opera House last night. Brilliant, but JM seemed a little out of sorts and whinged about free internet downloading.

Splendid!
FWIW, if you want to make video, you're better off being back a bit, centered, with an unobstructed view. Less obvious and more flexibility with framing.
