thats a shame, such a beautiful car :(

@m93dape I think to be honest, they just expect it to be a nitrous burp, which they dont usually go for the kill switch straight away, cause it's just a small fire... you cant really see it on this video, but when it took hold, the fire crew did go to the rear off the car to find the kill switch, but he slipped over on the trail of oil on the track, and fire was at the back of the car by then and they couldnt get close enough to find the kill switch... Top job by the fire crew!

That's gotta suck, sorry for the loss! Great Footage!

@hermin33 but the did forgett to shut of the NOS and the electricity which is the first thing you do when you respond to a fire like this, but otherwise it was a great job by the rescue marshalls, but that big fireball could have been avoided if they had done the right thing at the beggining

One scary event, so glad the driver is ok, I feel so so sorry his car was destroyed, I would be so devastated if that were to happen to me, we love our vehicles, and spend so much time and money putting these things together, to watch such a beautiful machine be decimated in such a short space of time is heart breaking, the Santa Pod team acted very quickly, a great effort, but my heart goes out to the driver who could so easily have been killed, I wish him all the best and hope he will race ag

According to eurodragster that fire ended his career for the moment, as the car cannot be rebuild due to a lack of funds.

I placed a video on here of the same incident and a comment was made that a new car is on the way
man it was so windy that day, henri's car never stood a chance. good old santa pod crew though, sprinting to respond within seconds as usual
