Wang Vision Institute is one of only three leading centers in US to conduct a US FDA clinical trial on a new investigational eye surgery, scleral spacing procedure (SSP), to correct age-related loss of near vision (presbyopia). SSP is an out-patient procedure in which a surgeon creates a new space near the ciliary muscle, to allow a more efficient contraction of the lens and muscles, to achieve better reading.
