Head Starts present a garfish in a lifelike manner. The hook is rigged on either an 80-pound bead chain or a 175 pound wire (supplied) and is set towards the bait's tail. This is much more effective than a hook fitted to the head of the bait. Because the head is protected by the plastic assembly the bait can be trolled at 7 knots or more for extended periods, making Head Starts a good option for a regular marlin lure spread too.
