The resolution is nothing to shout about, so I think you could be better off with a proper 720p or 1080p monitor. Although it is very good for its money, it does take some time to get used to because its so wide, but all in all its pretty awesome =]
You may want to look up some more reviews just to be sure but it is a good buy.

Samsung SM2033SW 20-inch Wide Gloss Black TFT Monitor
Looks good, HD resolution. No HDMI.
Btw the acer that I have doesn't allow you to tilt or adjust it...
The Samsung is £129, I think your best bet is Samsung or HP =]
