An interesting alternative for any tourist is a visit to a true and authentic tradicional Cattle Estancia actually in activity, and as such, we highly recommend Estancia Buena Vista (4.000 has.), in Esquina, province of Corrientes, where the traditional customs, natural surroundings and the breeding of an ample variety of animals combine very harmoniously with the comforts of modern urban life.

Activities:

Participate as an observer or actively with the authentic gauchos (farmhands) of Corrientes in their multiple farm jobs, such as lassoing, horse taming, cattle tossing, branding, vaccinating, cattle curations, bathing, etc., in the corrals and pens and also the possibility of going out together with the gauchos and helping to herd cattle, buffalo, or horses, mules and ponies, or also sheep and goats.

See our authentic ecological farm with milking cows, pigs, geese, ducks, turkeys, chickens, pheasants and pidgeons.

Organize a unique photographic safari, because getting to see the countryside of Estancia Buena Vista is to discover an exotic landscape, extense grasslands with lagoons, waterholes, natural woods and palm trees. An ideal way to enjoy the virgen subtropical nature the Estancia has to offer, the spectacular dawns and sunsets and nights with impressive stary skies.

The opportunity of being able to observe the native Argentine fauna, carpinchos (Capybara), otters, foxes, native ostriches (ñandú), crocodiles (yacaré), turtles, small deer, partridges, hares, wild duck, storks, white herons, flamencos, wild swans, and a great variety of small birds.

Horse riding, walks, or rides through the fields in horse drawn carriages, to paddle canoes in our lagoons and also participate in outings to the immense Marshland Estero Pucú which links with Buena Vista on its southern boarder.

Fish an interesting variety of fishes, such as Dorado, Surubí, Pacú, Tararira, etc., in the Corriente River, on the northern limit of the Estancia, either in launches with guides or at night from the river bank near a fireplace, also some fly fishing at one of the Estancias lagoons.

Entretainment practicing golf at the driving range at the Estancia or other sports at the football field.

Lodgings:

In the middle of the Estancia is the farm settlement, which covers 35 Has., with a colonial house from late XIX century and an excellent level of commodities, to lodge our guests in 4 double bedrooms with private bathrooms. There is an independent breakfast room for children, a dining room that sits 14 people, a living room with a large fireplace and an ample varandha all around the house, decorated with tropical plants, where our visitors have a well replenished open bar and chairs and tables to play or read.
The house is surrounded by a very large park with aging trees, tropical plants and an orchard with fruit trees.

On warm days our visitors can further enjoy our ample swimming pool (12 x 7 meters).

A typical building known as Quincho for informal activities and a playroom with billiard table, pingpong, small bar and satellite tv add to the commodities available at the Estancia.

Just 100 mts from the big house is the main office with an ample guest apartment, with 2 bedrooms with private bathroom, ideal for couples with children.



Meals:

Our guests have a full farm breakfast in the morning. At midday, lunch with typical dishes of this region (locro, guiso, etc, - types of stews), and/or interrnational cuisine and during the afternoon, coffee or tea with cookies. Finally, in the evening, drinks are served before dinner and then, an asado (bbq) in its different fashions with our organic beef, of either veal, lamb, goat or pork supplied by the Estancia or local fish.
Hot smoked food is our speciality. Our production includes fish and an ample variety of organic products from our ecological orchard.
