Wow, I was surprised it was Chris Matthews rather than Alan Grayson who defended the word "liberal". Just got a little more respect for Matthews and a little less for Grayson.

Totally agree, we are the true liberals. The ones who want freedom and tranquility.

Obama favors war, a liberal policy, he is hard on social issues, a liberal policy, he favors Kenysian economics, that is what modern liberals are. I could name almost all of the same for Conservatives, there is very little difference between the two parties. Conserv and Lib mean little anymore. Center is even more of a laughable designation.

Not really, liberals have a huge neocon side of them that makes them just as bad as the John McCain republicans, The Obama adm has countinued the most evil neocon policy. The only good use of the word liberal is the 18th century version, the Thomas Jefferson liberals.

Liberal, progressive are good words, they represent the logical commonsense of the people. On the other side, what you call them, they represent emotion (hate, anger, fear).

Nobody voted him for being a republican. They voted him for being a movie star.

People voted for him got their wish, the disaster.

The governor is till popular only to those don't know the situation in California.

There are already a few Repub. starting to campaign to replace him for the primary, which is not common for the incumbent in the same party.
