lucelaluna, first of all, aikido is no learned to fight. to understand it you nedd to study its philosophy and then start to talk about it. aikido is not a question of using power or not. its a energetic question, that you only understand if you do it.
so if you do not study this, do not practice aikido, don't go out there, speaking something that you don't know how it works. ;)

First of all, this is an exam for 4th degree in Aikido, not a fight.
This guy made one of the best exams I and some others students ever saw.
Try seen more videos about it, you'll see what a mean.

I don't agree.. The attacks are mostly out of range. The dude would not even need to move not to get hit! This kind of "dancing around" stuff is what gives aikido a bad reputation
